FanDuel has brought on one of the most respected and long-serving figures in responsible gaming, Keith Whyte, as a new strategic advisor. Whyte, who served as the Executive Director of the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) for over 25 years, will provide strategic insights on FanDuel’s responsible gaming programs and help guide the company’s future efforts in this critical area.

A High-Profile Move to Strengthen RG Leadership

In his new advisory role, Whyte will be tasked with identifying new opportunities for advocacy, advancing partnerships, and developing events aimed at fostering a culture of responsible play. He will also be a key contributor to FanDuel’s “Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting” program, an initiative designed to equip adults like parents and coaches with the tools to talk to young people about gambling risks.

The hiring is a clear signal of FanDuel’s intent to elevate its responsible gaming efforts beyond standard compliance and into a more proactive, strategic function.

“At FanDuel, we are committed to elevating the industry standard for Responsible Gaming,” said Cory Fox, FanDuel’s Senior Vice President of Public Policy & Sustainability. “We’re excited to welcome Keith to our Responsible Gaming team and are confident his experience and subject matter knowledge will further strengthen our leadership in this space.”

Decades of Experience in Player Protection

Whyte brings over 30 years of experience in the problem gambling prevention space to his new role. His quarter-century tenure at the helm of the NCPG made him one of the most prominent voices in the field, where he was known for his advocacy and policy work.

For his part, Whyte pointed to FanDuel’s existing efforts as a key reason for joining the company in an advisory capacity.

“FanDuel has consistently demonstrated industry leading commitment to Responsible Gaming, and I’ve long admired their proactive approach,” Whyte said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to join the team and contribute my experience to further advancing FanDuel’s efforts in promoting safe and responsible play.”
