FOX Sports and Barstool Sports Team Up for 2025 College Football Season
FOX Sports and Barstool Sports announced a dynamic partnership on July 17, bringing Barstool’s bold personalities to FOX’s college football and basketball coverage. The deal, featuring Barstool founder Dave Portnoy and “Pardon My Take” co-host Dan “Big Cat” Katz, aims to energize fans with fresh, edgy content.

Barstool’s Big Play on FOX Platforms
Starting with the 2025 college football season, Portnoy will be a regular on FOX’s “Big Noon Kickoff,” joined occasionally by Katz. Barstool will also produce the “Barstool College Football Show,” airing from 9-9:45 a.m. as a lead-in to select “Big Noon Kickoff” games.
The show will stream across FOX platforms like Tubi, the FOX Sports App, and FOXSports.com, as well as Barstool’s channels, with cross-appearances from “Big Noon Kickoff” talent.
Eric Shanks, FOX Sports CEO, said, “Dave has built a one-of-a-kind brand… authentic, bold, and original. Their unique voice and loyal fanbase makes them a natural fit.” Portnoy added, “We can’t wait to collab and bring our voice to FOX Sports’ airwaves.”
Expanding to Daily Shows and Basketball
Barstool will launch a two-hour daily weekday show on FS1, recorded live with a mix of Barstool and FOX Sports personalities. Details on the launch date are forthcoming.
The partnership extends to college basketball, with Barstool contributing to FOX’s 2025-26 coverage, including the College Basketball Crown, which debuted in 2025.
The partnership aims to blend Barstool’s irreverent style with FOX’s sports media dominance, promising a vibrant mix of commentary and entertainment.
