BetMakers is betting big on Nevada’s horse racing scene, snapping up the state’s sole pari-mutuel provider to shake up the wagering game.

A Strategic Play for Nevada

BetMakers Technology Group inked a deal to acquire Las Vegas Dissemination Company (LVDC) for $800,000, grabbing the only approved pari-mutuel wagering provider for horse and greyhound racing in Nevada.

LVDC’s three key licenses, disseminator, live broadcast disseminator, and pari-mutuel systems operator, make it the central hub for Nevada’s racebooks, serving big names like MGM Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, and Wynn Resorts.

BetMakers aims to use its tech to modernize betting, projecting $4 million in extra annual revenue and profitability for LVDC within a year, per cost synergies.

“This acquisition would not only give us access to the dynamic Nevada gaming market but also creates a strong platform to showcase innovation,” said CEO Jake Henson.

Why LVDC Matters

LVDC’s grip on Nevada’s pari-mutuel betting is unmatched, pooling wagers from sportsbooks, bars, and online platforms into nearly 100 North American racetracks.

Its clients stretch beyond Nevada to casinos like Foxwoods in Connecticut and Atlantis in the Bahamas. BetMakers sees this as a launchpad to deepen ties with casino giants and roll out next-gen betting experiences, both in-person and digital.

The deal aligns with BetMakers’ North American push, leveraging its Global Tote tech, like the Quantum tote engine, to streamline wagering and boost user engagement.

The acquisition strengthens BetMakers’ foothold in the U.S., where it already partners with Caesars and Bet365. By absorbing LVDC, BetMakers can expand its racing content and tap new revenue streams, like enhanced racebook apps and retail kiosks.

The firm’s tech, including AI-driven betting tools from its RACELAB unit, could spice up Nevada’s betting scene, offering punters sharper data and slicker interfaces.
